Ranch/ California Info

Hey everyone!

Here's a note with some info about your stay with us at the ranch, and some ideas on visiting Northern California:

The Ranch:

You are welcome to come stay with us at the ranch, just bring a tent and a sleeping bag. There are bathrooms, showers and a cooking area (gas, fridge, barbecue and picnic tables). There will be up to 40 people camping, but there's room for everyone.

For stays outside the wedding day, you need to bring your own food and have transportation. The nearest grocery store is in Windsor (20min car ride!).

At the ranch there's a river for swimming and canoeing, there's a grass area where we usually set up volleyball, badminton, croquet etc and there are hiking trails all over.

Visiting California:

If you're staying a little longer or coming sooner, there's a bunch of cool stuff to check out in Northern California.
Towns: Bodega Bay, Inverness, Calistoga, Healdsburg, Mendocino

Parks: Point Reyes, Armstrong, Robert Louis Stevenson State Parks. The best info is here:

Other things to check out: A drive on Highway 1 (coastal road), wine tasting in Alexander/Napa valleys.

Some guidelines:

The ranch is private family property but most of the 10 houses there are rented to other people. They are aware that there's a wedding going on and lots of people hanging around but please try your best to respect them and their houses.

Be EXTREMELY careful of cigarette butts- it's dry during the summer, so please use extreme caution with anything fire related. NO campfires except in the barbeque pits.

When walking around look out for poison oak and rattle snakes (if, like french people, you've never seen poison oak then look at the picture further down).

Mind the property limits. It's a big place, but if you find yourself at the edge of the ranch please stay on our side. Some of the neighbors are a little tense about trespassing...
